Duchesne, Utah
Founded in 1905. The town's first resident and merchant was A. M. Murdock. He had earlier come to the Basin to trade with the Indians in Whiterocks. He originally named the town Dora after his daughter. It was later renamed Theodore for President Roosevelt and finally Duchesne in 1915.
