Fruitland, Utah

Settled in 1907, and originally known as Rabbit Gulch, the town’s name was changed to Fruitland to entice more settlers to the area.

Fruitland is located on Highway 40, 25 miles west of Duchesne. Strawberry Reservoir is a 12-mile drive west. Fruitland lies on a large flat surrounded by pinyon and juniper. Is outskirts are dotted with vacation and remote homes.
